Geez. With all this blogging about McCall, a dog can hardly get a word in edgewise. I just wanted to tell everybody what a great time I've been having in the mountains. I have to spend a lot of time either leashed or confined to the deck, but when I get to swim....oh boy.

Take a look at Kellan's new favorite toy. We've obviously spent too much money on toys, if this is all it takes to make him happy. Loki was Michael's dog growing up. I think I only met him once, maybe twice, but he was a beautiful white Samoyed with bright eyes and a happy face. Loki's ashes are spread in an area near the Reagan cabin now referred to as "Loki's trail". During our visit to the trail this past weekend, Ron and Michael stopped to do something they always do every time they pass by: re-carve Loki's name into the rock where his ashes are scattered. Doctor -- Daw-toe We just got back from another fun weekend in McCall. Kellan did a lot of digging and splashing along the shore, Enzo did a lot of swimming, and we all got to spend some good time with Grandpa Ron and Grandma Carol. Plus, Kellan added some new words to his vocabulary, including "bee". Which, of course, means beach! We're heading back to McCall for a second weekend in a row! Looking forward to getting a little more beach time in this trip. And hopefully we'll see a LOT less traffic. During our Fourth of July weekend in McCall, we got the chance to visit with our good friends Matt and Meg! They live in Seattle, so we don't get to see them as much as we'd like to. They passed through McCall on their way home from Cascade Sunday morning, so we all met for a delicious breakfast at Waffles N'More, a place I never knew existed! It was yummy and far less crowded than the Pancake House -- I highly recommend it! It's something I've referred to as our dirty little secret. But our master bathroom is dirty no more....and it's not so little anymore, even though we didn't actually knock out any walls. Our bathroom: beforeOur bathroom: after
Serious fun is serious business, and injuries happen. This is what happened to Adam during our holiday weekend in McCall. You have a splinter WHERE? Great success! We made it! |
